How to overcome procrastination?

When we start to learn new skills or hobbies, we are quite excited and we love what we want to learn, but as the days passes, seeing back how much we have progressed learning those skills, we may end up giving up and then it becomes too late. ๐Ÿ™„

So, In this Blog we will discuss something which is very important and many of us (me too) have faced this quite a common issue of how to overcome procrastination.

In the words of Google, Procrastination is the act of delaying or putting off tasks until the last minute, or past their deadline. ๐Ÿ˜‘

In this digital age, knowingly or unknowingly we are spending lot of time on social media such as Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, Games, LinkedIn etc... which tricks us that it will take short time to browse and we will get back to our work. But we keep on browsing and using these apps and end up loosing our very precious time. (P.S:- I am not against them just we need to be regulated & use it for very very limited amount of time)

To show some statistics

- An average user spent 2 hours and 24 minutes per day on social media in 2020.

- 50.1% of the time spent on mobile was done using social media apps in 2020. - Facebook is the most popular, costing people an average of 2 hours and 24 minutes each day.

- YouTube takes an average of 40 minutes per day.

- Users spend an average of 30 minutes per day on Snapchat.

- Instagram users are spending an average of 28 minutes on the platform daily I remember that Facebooks Tagline "It is Free and always will be" actually It is not free, we are free for Facebook ๐Ÿ˜ and these other social media apps

Below are Some practical tips to overcome procrastination:- ๐Ÿคฉ

  1. Analyze from your past mistakes:- Check how you spend a day, there may be different cases for different people, so don't compare. It is said that You are the best friend of YOUR-SELF. write down how you spent last week and then see what is that which is consuming your precious time unnecessarily.
  2. Start a new day positively:- Many of us may have habit of seeing mobiles immediately after getting up, try to avoid that, give time for your-self do some meditation / yoga or exercise.
  3. Be Grateful for what you have got:- Being grateful to your elders and supreme will help you to be motivated and inspired to do wonders in life.
  4. Divide and Rule:- Break your Skills learning path into smaller chunks, give some realistic goals for a day, don't plan for too long.
  5. First Things First:- Try to complete your important learning lessons as early as possible in a day.
  6. Be Patient:- There may be some times where you may miss somethings, don't worry be motivated and don't waste time lamenting about past.
  7. Associate with like minded people:- Try to find good friends or community who are as like minded as you are in the same path of success, meet people, follow those people who will keep your light of inspiration to grow high in your life.
  8. Track your progress & share:- Check how much you have progressed getting the skilled up and share with your friends, this will keep you motivated to do more.
